Re: Buying tires in Hua Hin
My Accord is now just over 3 ½ years old and has clocked up 85,000kM. Decided that it was long overdue for new booties…….Decided to ditch the old Michelin OEM as fitted and have got the moths out of my wallet. Got some Yokohama ADVAN Decibel V551 235/45R18 from Maxxis on the Pa La U Rd. Ordered on a...

Re: Flooding in Petchaburi and Prachuap
Will be travelling to BKK from HH am tomorrow. Seeking advice regarding any issues with flooding/road closures particularly around the Petchaburi area. Thanks in advance. Came down from Bangkok this evening - posted this on F/B if it helps "Finally got out of Bangkok and passed through Petchab...

Well - after a couple of years of over use and zero maintenance, it will look like the rest of the rolling stock.PET wrote:Going past the HH railway station after lunch to day I saw the new train, carriages and bogeys sitting over a long stretch of rail - what an improvement on the previous stock - amazing!

Re: Sewage treatment
I spent the first 21 years of my working career designing and building water and efflueent treatment systems and the issue of putting toilet paper down the pan here in Thailand is one of my few peeves of living here. All toilets here are 100mm - 10cm - 4" waste pipes fitted to a same size drain...

You should all realise that the footbridge already built at Bluport was specifically put there to allow the clientele from the Intercontinental Hotel to cross the road to the 'Bluport Wing' of said hotel - without having to get their shoes dirty..........

Re: Cruise control hazard
I think anyone would be crazy to use cruise control in Thailand with all the bad drivers who continually cut in on you. Here you need to be 100% personally in control Totally agree My Accord has Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and will automatically brake if you get too close to anyone in front. It w...
