Re: British Embassy Bangkok to stop Certification of Income Letters

Most of you knows as well as me that for those who cannot show up a decent income (65.000/a month) or 800k blocked 3 months, there is a solution: some agents, they do everything for you, costs 25.000 Bht. and you have a legal year visa.
I think still working as they still advert.

Re: British Embassy Bangkok to stop Certification of Income Letters

I find that a rather suspect reason. Around 11 years ago and for just one year, the marriage extension was proved by having the 400K in a Thai bank or by having family income of 40K a month. In other words, a Thai wife's income could be included. If my wife earned 30K a month, I only had to show 10...

Re: British Embassy Bangkok to stop Certification of Income Letters

The discrepancy between married and unmarried income is strange. Do the Thais think it's cheaper to be married than single. I bank with Citibank and they don't issue a passbook, only monthly email statements. I don't know what I'll have to do if Immigration insists on passbooks. The Land of Everyth...

Re: British Embassy Bangkok to stop Certification of Income Letters

LOMU - the ability of using ones marriage to a Thai for the annual extension seems preferable now, with the financial requirement being 50% less. Can you advise what the requirements immigration require over and above what we have been providing? Go to immigration 19 Rai, they have a list of requir...

Re: Govt to introduce 450 baht pet registration scheme, 25k fine for non compliance

450 Bht. might be considered expensive, but how much cost vet for a dog and how much do they spend for food and how much for accessories as those stupid clothes or even glasses....555

Re: British Embassy Bangkok to stop Certification of Income Letters

The discrepancy between married and unmarried income is strange. Do the Thais think it's cheaper to be married than single. Yes, this has always puzzled me as well. Another strange thing is that I have never been asked to prove where my 800k in the Bank came from. I keep it on term deposit, but som...

Re: British Embassy Bangkok to stop Certification of Income Letters

An embassy cannot certify income from work or rented house or condo. Only official retirement money can be certified. All other documents are forged and maybe this is a good thing to reduce all those swindlers.

Re: British Embassy Bangkok to stop Certification of Income Letters

Luckily I am not Brit nor Yank. But who is responsible of your misery ? Not Thai immigration. Your own people, your government, embassy, civil servants. Oh dear. You really are a grade 1 idiot. If you had bothered to read this thread, you would learn it is the new demands of Thai Immigration that a...

This morning my 90 days report at 19 Rai. Took only 5 min. but no smiles and could see that the "No Bribes" by Big Joke makes many unhappy.

Re: Petty problems with hua hin immigration

The 1500 Bht. were probably a tip for the immigration for giving the visa despite the fact of missing 300 Bht.
