Re: Motorbike Touring friends wanted
BTW I meet one Canadian guy named Paul last year in Hua Hin (also around 50 Years) when I had a bite at Burger King but unfortunately I lost his number when I changed my mobile lately, maybe some in this forum knows Paul ?, he seemed to be an experienced biker and had toured Europe as well as north...

Re: Hua Hin Golf Gossip
Hey, let's face it, when it comes to golf courses we're spoilt for choice in the Hua Hin area and I consider myself fortunate to live here permanently. Merry Xmas everyone and happy golfing over the holiday period and throughout the new year. I'll be a Lakeview on 25th, Majestic on 26th and Springfi...

Re: The Rugby Thread
G'day all you rugby fans. I've recently joined the HH forum and as a fanatical rugby union fan I was very pleased to find this thread. I'm originally English so England are my number one team, but for 5 years, prior to moving to HH 18 months ago, I lived in Australia, so they are my number two. I am...

Re: The Rugby Thread
Absolutely heartbreaking for Ireland... and what a superb performance - huge respect for the team!! The "Blackness" take it at the death with a last gasp try in injury time - Ireland 22 vs 24 New Zealand. Sexton I think kicked the ball away a little too much, but you can't point the finge...

Re: Hua Hin Golf Gossip
Come on guys! BM is in way better condition than any course in HH. Layout is matter of preference. I'd say Banyan was in pretty good shape myself and yes, layout is a matter of preference and my preference is Banyan. I appreciate that the fairways, greens, facilities etc at BM are fantastic, but la...

Re: Knee Problems
I was also told that an injection of something was available that would help pending full surgery, any ideas as to what this might be and how to get it? You are probably talking about synvisc which I was told would delay surgery/pain up to six months. I researched on my own and decided not to. Like...

Re: Private Thai Language Lessons
I live permanently in Hua Hin and am interested in learning Thia, on a one to one basis. A language school does not offer me the flexibility I need with times, so I'm thinking that private lessons would be more convenient. Any suggestions for where I can find a private tutor and what I might expect...

Re: Hua Hin Golf Gossip
BM maybe the favourite of many visitors and locals and I agree it is very well known, excellently maintained and a wonderful golf course. However in my opinion it is more 'manufactured' than Banyan and if given a choice between the two of them it wouldn't take me a nano second to chose the latter as...

Re: Knee Problems
Ironically today I decided to seek medical advice for an ongoing knee problem, for which I will require a full knee replacement at some time in the future. I say in the future because my advice from UK and Australian orthopedic doctors who are knee specialists is that I should soldier on for as long...

Re: Sports bars to watch rugby
Yes, Buckley's around the corner from Limelight, which is next to El Murphy's, also show the rugby, Graham the owner is an Aussie and a good bloke. But I've taken to Capt. Doug's in Khao Takiab, so I can add my recommendation to that, great place if you live near there. Can't wait for the start of t...
