If you click on 'Full editor' and then 'attachments', you'll see options for adding files. :-)

Re: "Liking" posts

Also, you would have to make the settings so that you could only make one "Like" per post from a single IP address....otherwise, again, it would be open to manipulation. It would be very easy to abuse that system. Generally, 'Likes' and 'votes' are only allowed for registered users and th...

Re: hi all

Can't comment on the change in two years as I only returned last year for the first time in 20+ years.
...but, from one newbie to another - welcome! :)

Re: Buddha Day(s) bars closed

Even at Makro earlier the booze shelves had been cling filmed to prevent people taking it off the shelves. Funny! :D A sign wouldn't suffice? In the UK, before the booze laws changed, Tescos tills simply wouldn't allow alcohol to be checked out after 10.30pm. I suspect such a solution would not wor...

Re: Buddha Day(s) bars closed

Surprised to see that booze isn't being served in hotels on this second day.

Normally it's available on Royal birthdays etc., isn't it?

Re: Mel Smith

That is sad.

Happy memories of Alas Smith & Jones and Not the Nine o'Clock News (which the kids recently discovered on You Tube).

Re: Short Term Rental Responsibilities

It should be made fully clear in the agreement you sign, who is responsible for what - in the unlikely event it isn't referenced then you need to ask. I believe it is normal for the person renting the property to pay for cleaning (about 2000 a month but depends on size) and the landlord is responsi...

Re: Short Term Rental Responsibilities

The power and water are paid by the renters as they are the consumers at that point... Hi Boz - thanks for the quick answer. I have to ask, because what appears normal in one country may not be the case in another. In some places, you assume 'full' responsibility when you are given the keys.

Short Term Rental Responsibilities

Hello :)
If I were to rent a property in the short-term (i.e. one to three months) to whom would the responsibilty of the swimming pool belong?

i.e. Cleaning, chemical treatment etc.

(Edit: Sorry, I realise that's vague, I mean is it normal to belong to one or the other party?)
Thanks. :)

Re: Online names.

Everyone I know calls me... H When I was registering, the forum wouldn't allow less than 3 letters. Foolishly, I said aloud Hmmm... I wonder what I could use as a log-in name? My son (who was watching an episode of The Big Bang Theory) gave me the name. Even more foolishly, I chose to use it....

Re: 20+ years later...

Then it was definitely the Royal Garden Resort. Despite its proximity to town, each day, we had a bicycle samlor guy pick us up. The young guy took us everywhere and even showed up on our last day covered in scrapes and bandages after being in an RTA. On that last day we tried to offer him a small t...

20+ years later...

Hello all :) Just thought I'd stop by to say hello. Very pleased to have found this forum. My wife and I first visited Hua Hin in '89 or '90 very much on the spur of the moment and having no idea of its proximity to Bangkok. As a result, we flew here! We stayed at the Royal Garden Resort (We have se...
