Re: Wise formerly Transferwise
I'm wondering how those of you who get instant transfers manage to accomplish it. Here's the timeline on a transfer I did this week: Thursday 7:06 am - You set up your transfer Thursday 7:06 am - You used your USD balance Thursday 8:54 am - We paid out your THB Thursday 1:13 pm - Transfer successful...

Re: Hand Remer
Mr. DIY? No hand reamer at Mr DIY but they did have some very small rattail files with handles that I think will do the trick. Thanks again for the suggestion. Trouble is, once I get in to that place I could spend many hours (and lots of money). Fortunately, this time I got out for 109 baht and in ...

Re: Hand Remer
Thank you. I'd seen those, they seem quite expensive. But, in pinch I might go for that. The similar one on Lazada from China is 70 baht plus 38 baht shipping: https://www.lazada.co.th/products/wellhot-3-13mm-bridge-pin-hole-hand-held-reamer-t-handle-tapered-6-fluted-champ-i3890554051-s14921408962.h...

Hand Remer
I'm looking for a hand reamer something like this: reamer.jpg I found online, but only shipping from overseas for delivery in July. Home Pro here in Korat didn't know what it was. I'm sure they must be available locally. Any ideas? Aside: I thought the same thing about a basin wrenches as well, but ...

Re: Lotus's Petchaburi
We used to stop at the one in Petchaburi on our way to Cha Am. But, we've found that the newer one in Cha Am is a much nicer store with better meats and produce and a bigger selection of all sorts of foods. The one item they don't have, though, is All-Bran. Why it's missing from their shelves is a m...

Re: The Beer Thread 2
It’s really hit and miss isn’t it? The other day I was at the Mall, Korat and spotted a single can of Relax, a hazy New England IPA by Offshoot brewing in Placentia, California. It was delightful. I’ll probably never see it again

Re: The Beer Thread 2
From Untappd: "Characterized by floral, fruity, citrus-like, piney or resinous American-variety hop character, the IPA beer style is all about hop flavor, aroma and bitterness. This has been the most-entered category at the Great American Beer Festival for more than a decade, and is the top-sel...

Re: The Beer Thread 2
Hua Hin beer is brewed by Thai Spirit Industry, the contract brewer in Chachoengsao. The Untappd entry doesn't have much info other than that it is a lager with 5% ABV. It has one rating of 3.75 out of 5. That reviewer's description (translated by Untappd) says. "It looks more flavorful. The be...

Re: The Beer Thread 2
I recently purchased a beer at a bottle shop here in Korat called 586 West Coast IPA. It was a bit too citrusy for me. But, the interesting thing is that it had no tax stamp even though it was brewed by The Craft Alliance in Singapore. Any ideas on how they managed to circumvent the import tax? Anot...

Re: Upcoming general election fundamentally flawed: Human Rights Watch
Ah, so this is an interesting tactic. Perhaps what Pita has had in mind. It will be interesting to see how many put their vote where their mouth has been.

Re: Upcoming general election fundamentally flawed: Human Rights Watch
Still, when asked about this (the Senate), Pita seems unconcerned and says he’s not worried. I still wonder, what’s the plan?

Re: Upcoming general election fundamentally flawed: Human Rights Watch
I wonder what MF's strategy is for electing a PM? It seems clear that Pita cannot get much, if any, Senate support. Already some Senators have publicly said that they won't vote for him. On Inside Thailand this morning a Senator said that there are only about 20 "independent" Senators out ...
