A little on the side: I read a ahort article about Thaksin not wanting the charter tourists in Phuket anymore because they don't spend enough money.

We always stay in the Royal Benja on Sukumvit Soi 5. Great breakfast buffet, fantastic city views esp. at night, looks like a shot from the movie Bladerunner. Good location for the MTR and Skytrain. Friendly staff.
