Re: Searching small car from private
Last few months I too was looking for a small car for us to do 100 km/day school runs (25 x 4). It is a mine field, any decent private car was snatched up quickly the rest were used tent or Russian resellers. No way I would go through a Russian reseller and the tents, OMG. We always asked if the car...

Municipal Sanitary Landfill
I have some old particle board and plasterboard to dispose of. Does Hua Hin have a trash dump (other than alongside unoccupied land) where I can dump it? Google searches only show a site from 2016 on soi 112. Is that the same place?

S9+ Phone Repair
Has anyone had their curved screen phone's (S7-S8-S9) screen repaired in HH? Not the LED just the glass. Looking for info on the cost and a good repair shop recommendation.
My usual repair guy has left MV and his cell number doesn't work anymore.

Re: Police Clearance Certificate
I thought that I'd put this in the 'legal' bit, as it's up-to-date information. When I searched on the net there was a lot of conflicting information, and lawyers wanting to charge a lot of money for a very simple process. We went on Friday to apply for a Police Clearance Certificate, and it was bo...

Re: Police traffic tickets set to go digital
Will they add an electronic bribe payment app? I was in a Thai police station last November to pay a ticket. The place looked more like a bank than a police station with all the stacks of cash on the desks. Even the cop that took my payment just put it in his pocket. I don't think the BIB will be ha...

Wow wasn't expecting to read that this morning especially on a thread discussing food. HH forum is usually usually more classy then others like TV forum.europtimiste wrote: ↑Tue Jul 24, 2018 4:42 pm If you miss the food of your countries: My advise: GO BACK.

Re: Requirements for retirement visa HuaHin
I have never been asked for a map in 16 years. Last year I applied for my first retirement visa and they asked me for a map. They said I needed it because I was extending from a marriage visa and wouldn't need it the next time. I will still take one knowing that they change requirement as frequentl...

Re: Tiny explosion in Market Village underground parking
Isn't the battery usually under the seat that we see has been blown off? Pete  I wasn't suggesting the cause only speculating that the authorities would want to cover up the incident or attribute it to something that could not be associated with terrorism such as the bike bombs in the south...

Re: Tiny explosion in Market Village underground parking
Wow I bet the local authorities will be trying to hide it or say it was a malfunction of the bike. They always seem to try and hide/deny such event until so many social media posts are made about it.

Re: The Bitcoin and cryptocurrency thread
Crypto transaction are small potatoes at the moment however already governments are banning or trying to tax transactions. Honestly, I can't see governments allowing the untraceable untaxable transactions to continue. They need the tax dollars there is no way it will be allowed to continue without i...
