Hi all, I'm looking at buying a condo with the idea that i can rent it out for around 8 months of the year and live in it when i'm on leave from work.
Do any of you here do the same? I'm on a kind of 3 months on 2 weeks off cycle and have no worries about renting it out when i'm working as i do with my UK property.
What do you think? I'm open to comments from both private owners and also those who deal in this kind of work.
Cheers, Russell.
Buying to let condos
Thanks Jimmy, i realise i was being a little optimistic there. Basically i'm not buying to rent specifically but would like to make the most of it by renting out as a holiday let or possibly longer term (say a few months to the right person) and wish to remain flexible.
I'm a bit of a pragmatist and would prefer to see my home 'used' and cared for by someone rather than just sitting empty whilst i'm away. Plus i can be earning a few extra Baht into the bargain.
One other thing - is it possible to get rent paid into your UK account/off-shore account rather than only into a Thai account?

Do any of you work with a good company that markets, and takes care of, the rentals?
