Alvin Lee assisted by George Harrison
Complexity is so simply overrated

In honour of Remembrance Sunday. And this had me "old dad" dancing around the kitchen. Their other album "the Race For Space " is a banger too.

I listen to a bit of morlam (molam) sometimes, music from the North Thailand/Laos Khmer region. Below is a beautiful example by the really gifted Maim Lis, although I often play the more dancy stuff the Isaan women sway to in HH bars when having a little party (I only go to a bar daytime outside of boozy drinker hours). There's also some crazy older stuff on albums from the 70s you can find online.
For a psychedelic slightly dub-style take, listen to the album: "Jah Wobble & The Invaders Of The Heart – Molam Dub". John Wardle (Jah Wobble now) was bass player for the great Public Image Ltd (PiL) back in the day.
Also I like some Luk Thung which is a bit more regular Thai country style. Just like western music, I don't like every artist.

For something deep, meaningful and spiritually enlightening, try this from the hugely talented William Shatner:

Well I listened to it but can’t say I’ll rush for a second hearing - yes I know I’m uneducated, but it didn’t do much for me!!dtaai-maai wrote:For something deep, meaningful and spiritually enlightening, try this from the hugely talented William Shatner:

A genius in a pink dress! This girl is gifted, even if you disregard the actual music, her gift goes beyond talent!

I'm indulging in an hour of nostalgia listening to Santana on Amazon. Alexa took me there, bless her. Of course I have to use a text to speech app these days, being sans voice, but Alexa doesn't seem to mind. https://www.naturalreaders.com/online/
It's very useful for things like brief instructions to Alexa, but not much else.

The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.
