Not many rent out for just a week. A good three bed with pool will go for around 3000 baht per night. Will pm the web address.

Think JW is right.
4 bedrooms and a pool is rare.
You will not find many houses with that many bed rooms for rent.
No problems with 3 bed rooms though.
Would also be a lot easier to rent 2 houses.
1 week is a very short time, might be a lot easier to stay in a guesthouse or hotel.
I intend to live forever - so far so good.

Yeah but where is it located Planner?

3,000 a day is about the going rate for short term rentals for a property like the one JW mentioned unless you're getting 'mate rates' or its a dump.

Baan Sa Suan (100 meters past the Hyatt) had 4 bedroom (including the maid's room), three story townhouses with a huge communal pool in the front.

Prices vary depending on the unit but it's around the 3k a day mark.

Only gripe is the stairs are a pain in the butt.

Daily rates are always significantly higher for any rental property.
Weekly is cheaper and monthly still cheaper.
Daily means it has to be cleaned and tidied after just one day's use.
More users, more wear and tear.
Same admin, booking, correspondence, hand-holding etc for one day's rental as for one week's or one month's.
3000/day = 45 pounds or US$75/day. Not bad for a 3-bed house with amenities. Same price as a hotel but offering much more.
Share with another couple and its a steal.
25K/month is too little in peak season, IMO.

25k is about right for a 12 month deal. Achievable short term rates in and out of peak season are much higher. I know, I am.

A house which is well decorated and furnished is about right at 25 a month, private pool does make a substantial difference.

thankyou all for your replies some aggreeing its a fare amount others undecided, if you saw the propertey you would say it was to small an amount but with plenty of people renting out there homes there is no need for the agent to try a get a good price for there client, in fact the opposite as the agent that came to us said i will start at 30000bht so they can haggle me down to 25000bht, when i suggested he started at 35000bht and let them haggle him down to 30000bht he said i couldnt do that, the thing that surprised me the most was the fact that you can name your own price. try haggling at the hotel for a better price. if your renting as lets face it its not the agents house and they get 3% so better off just renting it out on the cheap, still for all those people reading this site who are thinking of buying and letting it out to get your money back buy really cheap and make no attemt to do the house up i think you will find you will still be offered if the same agent 25000bht
so what have i learnt first of all that i love hua hin and that if i rented it out not withstanding repairs and replacement it would take me 10 years of renting it out to get the same profit that i could make by selling it now and buying a bigger propertey which i think is the best option as who knows what will happen with house prices ? if they continued at there present level in 10 years i wouldnt be able to buy another house, so my lovely house is up for sale.
