Re: Ashes Test series
Australia are proving to be especially stubborn with Labuschagne getting a century - I’m hoping that posting a positive comment might result in a few quick wickets

The Aussies are trying to bore us all to death...
Australia have reached 100 runs after 47.4 overs, the longest it has taken them in a Test since December 1990 at MCG. It is the longest they've taken to reach 100 in England since 1981.

Were you really expecting much else? I guess this Fuzz(?)/Buzz(?)/Jazz(?)/Bazball(?) has got them a tad concerned....dtaai-maai wrote: ↑Fri Jul 28, 2023 7:09 pm The Aussies are trying to bore us all to death...

Bit sad really, considering they have retained the Ashes regardless of the result. The Crims want to win the series at any cost I assume?

Re: Ashes Test series
Looks like it, but since the lunch break England have taken 3 wickets, so things are looking pretty good. It's all very well protecting your wicket, but if you're not scoring a few runs, then when you do lose a couple of wickets you're way behind the... behind the... brain freeze........

Now 186-7 - if I was a betting man, I’d wager that only the weather can save the Aussies (again)!!

The Aussies have just levelled the scores and have 2 wickets left so they’ll soon be in the lead!!Dannie Boy wrote: ↑Fri Jul 28, 2023 10:06 pm Now 186-7 - if I was a betting man, I’d wager that only the weather can save the Aussies (again)!!

Re: Ashes Test series
At close of play the Aussies are all out with a small lead of 12. Should have been better, could have been worse. As things stand, it's pretty much all square with everything to play for. Hoping for a good day with the bat tomorrow...

Re: Ashes Test series
The weather forecast for tomorrow is fairly reasonable so hopefully no rain interruptions- Sunday is not quite as hopeful, so England need to some early runs!!dtaai-maai wrote: ↑Sat Jul 29, 2023 12:30 am At close of play the Aussies are all out with a small lead of 12. Re: Ashes Test series
The "Bookies" have the Crims as VERY slight favorites (like by a Gnat's c*ck) - England at Evens and a draw at 5/1.... Hmmmmm.
Then again, I've got the rugby and F1 on tomorrow!!
