Chelsea deserved a win there. Better team throughout most the match I thought. Some much needed points taken off Villa all the same.

Despite the Colonel’s earlier pessimism, Everton have avoided relegation so can look forward to another season in the Premier League - hopefully next year they will play better and won’t have any more points deduction to contend with!!

My pessimism re my team has always stood me in good stead! However I fully admit I thought it(relegation battle) would much more of a close run thing. Didn't see see them winning last 4 games without conceding a single goal!

As re your post I seriously doubt that on both counts

Can't see how we'll play better when best 3 players will more than likely be sold. The prospective new owners don't fill me with confidence either

Also wouldn't surprise me if there weren't more breaches of PSR as it's a rolling accountancy issue

I think Leicester will stay up, so that makes it harder. Plus of course it would be so Everton to play the first game in fantastic new stadium in the Championship!

Yes, my pessimism continues, Everton will be in a relegation battle again next season.

Super. Defending corners needs to be high on the list at the training ground.

Dunno what happened after 3 nil, but thought up to that point we were the better team. Millimetre offside goal, hit the post, penalty shout...

All irrelevant, mind. :(

Something noteworthy is that this season has produced a record no. of goals already and not finished yet.

And that's despite VAR cancelling many out

Any theories?

Are the top 4 scoring more on average?

Or is it the rest?

How many points did the better team get? Sorry, I don't fancy this kind of bollock but couldn't help myself.

But I do agree with Henry 14th opinion, we will not be champions this season. City will prevail.
