Medical Check Up at Hua Hin Hospital.

Post by titomiako »

I am trying to get a new health insurance provider and need a medical check up cert to go with my application. I believe it would be a lot cheaper to get it done at Hua Hin Hospital as opposed to Bkk or San Paulo Hospitals. Has anyone had a medical done recently at HHH and if so how did you arrange it and is it done through the Express Clinic or the main hospital? I did email them about three weeks ago but have not received a reply.

I would just go to Express clinic and ask.

They won't answer emails. And as regards calling them then in my direct experience(minimum 10 times) the Express Clinic counter staff are the most unfriendly, unhelpful people I've ever had the misfortune of speaking to in Thailand. Just stating my own experience. Others probably had different experience but that doesn't mean mine never happened(repeatedly).

And no I wasn't asking difficult questions, just what time does the Doctor start/finish?

They are simply not interested in helping on phone. You just have to attend.

I recall seeing a menu of prices for various tests. They may have a complete package test for insurance.

I agree they probably will be cheaper overall but I'd be inclined to see what Be Well Clinic could offer. (Maybe the Red Cross Clinic on Soi 76??)

Good luck. Let us know how you get on

Well to counter that. I've always had my medicals at HH Hospital and been quite impressed. Before the express clinic, you were escorted round the various depts. Since the express clinic opened, all tests except x-rays are done in the clinic.
I've always made an appointment. You'll be instructed to not eat or drink after 8pm in order for blood tests. They will do those tests first which will allow you to have breakfast. A doctor will see you on completion and summarise.

That's it!
