Back pain clinic/doctor

Post by Pagey »

Been suffering with chronic lower back pain for 4 days, I presume a trapped nerve or disc problem, which I hoped would correct itself.
However, in so much pain in the mornings, standing up, sitting down, walking, dressing etc at around 2pm I took a tuk tuk to HH hospital as too uncomfortable to ride my motorcycle only to be told no doctors in the afternoon.
Is there any clinics or doctors who specialise in backs pain? Although I'm not sure they can do anything apart from diagnose the problem and give me more pain killers and muscle relaxers which I already get from Pharmacy.

I second that. I haven't tried their chiropractor service (not a fan of bone crunchers) but I trust them in general.

I've been to Henrik several times. Each time I walked in with pain and left without pain.

I'm able to walk because of chiropractors, drs. couldn't do anything for me except give me pills and offer to cut me open.

Last month I visited the Spine Clinic regarding disc pain, and I was very satisfied with the result.

Another vote from me for Henrik
Hes very good
A bit expensive as regards Thai prices but not as re Euro/US
Bottom line is id pay £55 to be rid of severe back pain so i could do activities such as golf tennis etc

Malcolm, look at their website, they have a messaging system so you can ask the question direct.

Thursday evening after getting recommendations here I went on their website where you can book an appointment online. They had one appointment only on Friday afternoon with the Osteopath which I booked, the next appointment was Tuesday!

Went to the appointment, explained the situation and he uses spine models to explain where the problem is. Had 4-5 positions where he manipulated my back, everything cracked and hurt for a second but he was pleased with the result and said within 2 days all would be good.

Next day was the first day in a week when I could climb out of bed and walk without pain and having to support myself.
However, today I have some painful twinges again so I may need to go back this week.

He does get booked up quickly 1-2 weeks in advance unless there is cancellations which you can see on the online booking.

Thoroughly pleased with the service and he's a very nice friendly guy, highly recommended.

How is your back today after 4 days ? Better or as you mentioned you might need more sessions?
Wishing you to get better quickly

Still a few twinges but not enough to have me blaspheming out loud with the agony like the end of last week, still using ice pack on it, not bad enough for another appointment yet. Yesterday managed a swim and a walk on the beach, first time for over a week.

Thanks for your concern.
