Worth checking driving licence procedures in Malaysia and comparing with here. Bearing in mind that Malaysia is a neighbour.

Having monitored my daughter training and passing her test at a driving school, I've reviewed my opinion, particularly the driving school that she used.

All their cars have dual controls and the relative signs to inform other road users. Until you've become competent around the 'obstacle course', they will not put you on the road. From questions I put to my daughter, the instructors do appear to know their stuff.
They have the random theory test every day. This is the last qualification after passing the driving test. The day before taking that final theory, the class is assembled and spends the whole day going through all 600 questions.
A couple of hours each day is allotted to driving so plenty of practical experience.
They get homework to be done each day.

It's a government approved school so everything required is done at the school. Once qualified, you are given a piece of paper which you exchange for your photo licence at the DLT. No further tests are required at the DLT

I would recommend this school to any first time drivers here. I was suitably impressed.
