FA Cup 2023

Post by pharvey »

The FA Cup has already begun, but the Superbru Tournament comes in at the fourth round (28.01). I've set up a league (HHF FA Cup 2023) as was done last year.

Those who played last year will automatically receive an invitation by Email - those who didn't but are interested in this year's tournament can join using the following details: -

https://www.superbru.com/facup/pool.php?p=12547921

or by downloading the Superbru app and searching for the pool with code:

Obviously no Chelsea, but can Spurs handle Preston North End?!

I see that Haaland was at it again yesterday, bagging yet another hat trick in their 6-0 demolition of Burnley, who are currently runaway leaders in the Championship, showing just how wide the gap is between the two leagues!!

I really think Kane would have been banging in just as many goals at city should the move have gone through and he must be thinking 'what if...'.

Most the goals I've seen, Kane bangs them in all day long. The ones he wouldn't get are those requiring Haalands speed.

Christ, a tad behind posting any updates on the Cup/Superbru...

Anywho, BB in Pole position, but any of the Top 3 could take it.... Just remember to make your picks!! :thumb:

Blistering start - a goal faster than most people can run a 100 m - 12 seconds apparently. And then on 30 minutes Utd get a penalty for a “handball” by Grealish - one of the softest penalties ever after a lengthy VAR check. At least it make the game interesting!!

Soft penalty, yes, but listening to the half-time pundits, what a load of twaddle......... Grealish was trying to protect himself from Wan-Bissaka's fierce challenge! Where do they find these clowns?

If I've got a different set of clowns pundits - I'm watching on beIN Sports 3.
Championship Stoke City 3 - 0 Plymouth Argyle

Points 48; Position 20

I thought VAR was there to detect the “clear and obvious” - how Grealish’s brush of the ball can be considered clear and obvious is beyond me. Although it didn’t change the eventual outcome, it could have done.

Although it was by no means a one-horse race, I thought that City deserved to win - let’s see if they can make it a record equalling season by making it a treble next weekend!!
