In recent weeks, Dai_L and myself have missed several predictions due fact I've not really been compos mentis and he'been acting like I'm at Death's door at my hospital bedside. As things are now getting back to normal, we've agreed to renew our competition(s) - Dai is a stickler for "fair competition", after all there is a pint on the end result!!

Therefore, I at least will be aiming to climb the relative tables! That said, by the time we came to our momentous decision, we had already missed half the Champions League fixtures!!

Finally Red BS and Crashappen and co. have missed out on a win. Thank You Sainz, thank you Singapore!!!

Hopefully this weekend's Japanese GP will bring another exciting race and a bit more from Mercedes!!

This is one of those races with a "Sprint" portion. Picks need to be made between Practice #1 and Qualifying on Friday, 6 October in order to get the Superbru bonus points.

When can Max Verstappen win the 2023 drivers' championship?

The earliest the Dutchman can win the title is at the Qatar Grand Prix, which takes place from 6-8 October.

Verstappen leads Red Bull team-mate Sergio Perez by 177 points, with 180 points available from the remaining six races. Verstappen needs only three more points by the end of the season to seal a third consecutive title.

With the next event in Doha a sprint weekend, Verstappen has the chance to be crowned winner on a Saturday.

As long as Perez does not score six more points than Verstappen in the sprint race - which awards points from first place down to eighth - the Dutchman will be champion for a third time.

Rodin Cars bid to join Formula 1 rejected by FIA

All a bit of a farce TBH Pete - Andretti through, but no doubt will be rejected by F1. Personally, I think it would be good for Andretti to be there, but hey ho - money and politics is king.....
