Soul Music Night

hi i am just testing the water, would there be any interest in a 60/70 motown northern philly soul night.
i have a venue in mind with a great sound system and bar. so any soulies out there what do you think.

That may need explanation to the non-American folks, and the non-east coast Americans?!

Motown Records and subsequently the music was established in Detroit, Michigan. "Motortown" referencing the automobile manufacturing dominance there at the time. The record label later moved to LA.

Northern Philly is North Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Predominantly Black since the 1960's, Motown music was very popular. There's really no geographic or ethnic boundaries on the music now, it's just enjoyed by a lot of people, but I would say mainly those who grew up in the eastern USA in the 50's to 70's. /\ Yep, I heard it on Radio 2 the other day but still think the original has more "soul". Good effort though by The Boss.

Hi,we would be interested in this,if it gets going.Unfortunatley were are not Thailand till next June.I think there did used to be an English guy called Dave,who sadly passed away,doing something similar many years ago.
