Well after that, since we are into emotional clips (I liked it thanks Pharvey) I'll add this.

The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.

Sheesh, migrant, that's a real tearjerker!

Remind me to have a word with my daughter. She gave me a Christmas onesie...

Well, if the BBC's (and London's) midnight "celebrations" are anything to go by, it's going to be a feckin' dire 2022.....

That said, I'm hoping for the best and wish all a very happy and prosperous New Year!! :thumb:

Were they that bad?

I was too busy rewatching all of Ricky Gervais' standup. The man's a genius! ('Humanity' is on Netflix by the way, the others can be found on Pirate Bay. You will not be disappointed).

Happy new year though, Pete, and to everyone else on the forum.

They? What "they"?... I was looking forward to seeing some decent fireworks as they did in Sydney (as always) etc.... BUT - no show really! The "Shard" digitally counted down, Big Ben Bonged (for the first time in a couple of years) and well...... F' ALL ELSE!! Thankfully, The Scarlets vs Ospreys rugby is on later today to save my sanity and reduce my depression!! :thumb:

Best wishes to you mate (not Spurs) - can I just say, since lockdown and cancelled sports, I have indeed watched a couple of Wendyball games........ I am now bottom of the fecking Prediction League!! Ignorance is bliss! :banghead:

To be honest, one on the top of my list is to discover why DM lost so much weight in hospital and seemingly turned invisible after treatment - see above "Onesie" photo for proof!!

I see that Big Ben is back in operation once again after so much time in maintenance. BBC 15 minute video at below link of the London celebrations.

As far as I’m aware, although the four clock faces are now finished, the lower sections of the tower are still undergoing repairs and surrounded with scaffolding - quite a good laser show in lieu of the fireworks!!

Big Ben (THE BELL) did indeed ring in the New Year for the first time in some four years - Elizabeth Tower is still undergoing repairs and will no doubt cost the tax payer a few million more yet.....

As to the show - absolute cr@p. I may be a lonely and un-pious prick at the moment, but I didn't feel the whole "let's go for the New Year"!!

Oh well........ Perhaps I should have just stuck to videos!

Happy New Year!

I thought the drone display at Greenwich was impressive in its way.

Sydney, Oz, back to its usual best.

Actually the display on Chao Phraya wasn't bad either (apart from the camera work and down links from cameras in the sky).

Pataya's display not too bad either.
