I seem to remember one from several years back where a camera from a Mars expedition captured a shape moving across the landscape - can't find it anywhere though.....

pharvey that was the best April fools ever. I know it was on Panorama, I think 1959. I fooled half of the country, spaghetti was not eaten UK then.

I'm old enough to remember that. There were other good ones. Thatched satellite dishes for thatched houses, rainbow paint, introduction of 'decimal time' and loads more.
