Sports channels on TV

Post by dtaai-maai »

What are you guys watching sport on these days? The excellent sports package I had when in Thailand was shut down just after I left.

Here in the UK, I signed up for 3 months of Now TV a few days ago, mainly for the upcoming test cricket, but with the added advantage of the delayed F1 season, Premiership football and some Super Rugby.

I see the BBC are showing the unforgettable 1973 BaaBaa's vs All Blacks game this afternoon - but only on BBC Wales!! Whaaaaat??? :banghead:

Good God man - have you not come to terms with how many Welsh were involved in THAT TRY, a Welshman scored THAT TRY...... the best ever to play the game scored THAT TRY - oh we could carry on :neener: . I've recorded it for you!! :D

As for sports channels, NOW TV is certainly one of the best, Eurosport subscription, but you've got some live (free) channels on YouTube or the option of a VPN and steaming channels.

Damn - sorry, shouldn't have let your preferences loose on the "Open Forum!"

Will certainly drop you a line regarding VPN and "STREAMING" options.

For the football, I stream from www.vipsports.(+whatever web address ending takes their fancy this month).Actually for ALL sports I use vipsports but it's an absolute ball ache with popups. You have to get through 7-10 popups/page redirects until the page you want actually plays. Once it plays its fine.

I'd be interested to hear of better options if any. Free. I refuse to pay for telly. All involved, athletes and actors, rinsing too much money for what they do. I don't contribute to that anymore. :D

Sorry, to edit my post above, just about to watch Tottenham kick off, and realised its vipSTAND.biz I use for sport (not vipsport which is pretty useless nowadays.)

Popups and redirects until you find all the little close buttons on all the ads... but after that, once playing, it runs smooth.

Also, I doubt picture will blow up good for a big screen, but laptop is fine.

Thanks very much. I've just switched over and got a perfect HD stream from the first link I tried. And no fckin about with ads and redirects!

FYI for anyone, be careful not to click on, and continue with, the 'WATCH HD' button on the footybite site though. Leads you to a scam site asking 4 card details. Just click on WATCH LIVE. Leads you to the links page.

Good result. And I completely agree... Excellent! Once again I wanna thank huahin4ever for recommending footybite. Best footy streaming site I've ever used! And I've been using them for a decade, probably. Quite like the fact people can upvote or downvote the streams so you know which ones are working well. It just doesn't compare to the rubbish I was promoting (vipsport).

Now to find a better one for the boxing, ufc and rugby. 😉

U da man huahin4ever.

Footybites let me down today. Site was shut. New 'unblocked' site shut minutes later. Found a half decent stream on viprow.me as backup. Spurs just gotta get a draw it seems for that 6th spot.

Any updates on good places to stream football. Both Vipstand and footybite.tv have been totally shite today for champions league. Missed half the first half and not doing much better for the 2nd half. Damn annoying not being able to watch a game that I haven't paid for!
