Should I Stay or Should I go?

Post by Lost »

Do you plan on staying in Thailand?

The last poll brought about a 40% leaving or 'unsure'. How's things in 2020 folks? :thumb:

Vietnam looking strong. Malaysia giving their proven run on the 'My 2nd Home' plan (5 year visa). International schooling increasing in quality across the board in SE Asia. Exchange rate down. Baht up.

What's the scores on the doors? Staying in the land of smiles or looking to get more bang for your buck?

Me? Trying to move to Laos. Love it there! Thailand?... too many foreigners.

My other half is very happy here, but I am hoping we will have certain affairs tied up in the next 12 months which will enable us to leave if we so desire and Laos is high on the list (not interested in Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippines, Cambodia...)

I'd be on the next plane out of here.

Maybe the poll should include one further option: "Already gone"

I presume the references to Mr Morrisons band were made about the above line and not the thread title.

Actually, to be honest Lost, when I read this thread title on the main page, I was thinking it would be something else to what the content actually was when I opened it.

Ambiguity reigns on that one then. I guess the short posts always struggle with this as it leaves posters relying on inference from their own perspective.
