Lost passport in Soi 112

Hi,
I’ve lost my passport (Swedish) and driving license a shop in Soi 112.
The shopowner found it and unfortunately gave it to another farang by mistake.

Has anyone got it or seen it?

I would think your embassy will need a police report when you go there to renew your passport.

When you make the police report not a bad idea to ask them to talk to the shop owner. You never know what he may say to them that he didn't tell you.

What would you do if a Thai offered you somebodies passport, assuming it was a Thai and it was a foreign passport?

For me I think that I would be inclined to take it and go and hand it in at the local police station. The same as I would do with a found wallet. Drivers licence can be replaced easily, but not so a passport.

Point taken. I hope that's what has happened. However, I think I'd leave a note with my Tel: No. on the offchance that the owner would return to the shop to look for it, as indeed happened.

Also, if it was a Thai driver licence, then the owner's address is printed on the reverse.

I think that would probably be the last thing I would do, most likely it would be placed in a drawer, forgotten about and never seen again. The Immigration office might be a better bet although I would probably send it by post to the relevant embassy.

Actually, the Immigration Office would be best as (in theory at least) the passport owner should be registered with Immigration as to where they live and the passport could be reunited with the legal owner.
