I just noticed that the huge piece of property that was a cannery has been cleared. This is the land across from Threw Talay, Tuscany and Oriental Beach. The remaining cannery structures were demolished a few years ago but the land has been idle ever since. The moat remains.
Anyone know what’s going on here or is it destined to be yet another tax-avoiding lime orchard?
The photo is of what remains of the entrance to the cannery.

Cha Am: Old Cannery Site Cleared
Re: Cha Am: Old Cannery Site Cleared
Well I know at least one large piece of land in Hua Hin that's been cleared this month. We wondered what the new development would be. Not limes though - coconut saplings.

As long as it’s not a giant Chinese housing estate.
