This is great and very much appreciated, i do at least know the clock tower :) Will definately try some of these out.

I am not much of a wine drinker but it is a nice change from the beer at times a few of the guys are keen on it though so will try out the '' Wine Connection '' , we have stayed ni the La maison hotel a few times and dined in the French and Italian restaurants close to it and yes the wine is expensive,

Went to Mom's Kitchen in Soi 10 a couple of days ago. For those that haven't been for a while, they've moved closer to Petchkasem and on the opposite side. They now have indoor/aircon seating as well as outdoor. Their food both Thai and 'farang' is excellent and their prices are unbeatable.

Western style food, steaks, pizza, pasta general meat dishes (lamb shank etc), faux tapas stuff, continental hams and cheeses ('sharing dishes'), fishy things and they have just added beer battered cod to their menu. I would have tried that the other day but the place seemed deserted of all staff when I was there. But it is still open

We eat at Mom's kitchen regularly. Thai and Western food both very good, nice size portions, very reasonable prices and great staff
