My ID is 7 numerics and 1 alpha character. It must have been allocated, because it isn't something I'd have chosen.

I guess I'll have to try this but might hit a problem 'duplicate email' or 'duplicate property'

I think you need both TM 28 and 30. Downloadable at link: https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/downloads_en/ Then taken to your immigration office.

I'm in a different province so answers to your other questions my not be applicable. Pre-covid where I am all that was needed was wife's ID card signed copy (home owner), her signature on the TM 30 form, and a signed copy of the house book.

Basicly i got this Info from my Immigration in Tha Yang:

I owner of a Condo in Cha-Am, me and my German wife do not need TM30 we need TM28.

When i reenter to Thailand, or go for some days to Bangkok no new registration needed.
New registration only needed if my address in Cha-Am will change.

My slip of paper in passport is now some years old, and i have been at Immigration for COR as well in this time.

I'm not up to date on the TM 28, except to say that I read many months ago that they don't need to be done any longer for short trips within Thailand. The definition of "short" is not 24 hours, but longer. What "longer" means traveling within country is the major point that I'm not sure of.

We were on a trip for a week during July but I never checked into a hotel, all registration and payment was done by the wife so they didn't even ask or care about me. I just carried the bags. Unpaid help I guess! So on paper, I never left our registered home.

OK, this one clarifies the TM 30 as published in 2020:

Here's info on the TM 28. It appears it basically doesn't exist any longer for all practical purposes.

Wonder how this will unfold in my case where I also return to same address but been a month abroad :?
