Just played this game for the first time last Saturday. Good fun and luck is in no way involved as it doesn't have any dice or other things where luck might get involved. If anybody else is keen to play the game (there should be 4-7 players), we could get together sometimes to play it. This is an earlier version, the one I played used a different map, but the rules are the same.
any game that eliminates luck takes away my one chance of winning, but I like the idea that the game can take 12 hours - it's a decent warm up session before the Hilton and karaoke.

it looks like a game called risk played on a world boared
a very good game but addictive
diplomacy is probably a very good name for it
as i have seen the boared tossed in the air with frusration
