GTI, from personal experience, the classifieds on this forum actually work very well. The problem you probably experienced was the need for somebody to approve your post. If there is nobody around, or your posts aren't noticed, it can take a couple of hours for approval to take place. I approved your posts earlier, as soon as I logged on.gtimages wrote:Tried Hua Hin Classifieds. Terribly unfriendly user interface and no one to contact when a problem.

The approval mechanism is in place to prevent spam posts, and some advertising does attract a small fee. Neither of which affect your posts.
Of course, you are not restricted to this forum, and it won't be held against you advertising elsewhere - you need to sell your items, so need to do whatever it takes

It is highly likely your email provider wrongly flagged their responses as junk.

Larger items should stand a chance of selling through the usual classified ads. The 'farang' publications obviously aim at farang - who are usually OK about buying certain items second hand.
But Thai people tend to prefer to buy new when they can afford to. So if you have a large item to move, ask around the local expats as well as placing ads. But if you are wanting to shift a number of smaller low value items then a yard sale is worth a try IMO, but don't expect to make much.

Stacks of places. This forum, other local and national forums and Facebook is increasingly growing in advertising particularly property and restaurants. Depends on your items for sale, target reader and width of coverage required.

I'm assuming you are selling personal belongings without a profit, in which case the suggestions are valid. However, if you are selling second hand items as an ongoing business, then you could get into serious trouble. You need a licence and there are issues of copyright. Hope the former is true.
