Do you know about a good gym in the city center (or close to), which one could use on a daily fee (No membership).
A Search query on the term "gym" returned zero results.

There are a few little gyms around Hua Hin.

There is:

The Little Sparta Gym in Hin Lek Fai
Lotus Gym Hin Lek Fai
Atletic on soi 88 (probably largest in town)
Powerfit on soi 102 (circuit training downstairs, gym upstairs)
Smorprong fitness in Smorprong

But he wants to be near the City Centre and this is quite some way out.

Athletic on soi 88 is very expensive for short term visits.

Also aerobic machines have half of them set to pensioner speeds that you cannott change (why can't people who want to go slowly turn the machines down themselves?) they are not stupid.

So it may be big but a lot of the machines are unusable.
