Recently had a fantastic meal at Beef Town Eatery & Grill. It is next to the dusitD2 hotel. I had a Thai wagyu oyster blade steak cooked to a perfect medium rare, and the better half had lamb chops. Very, very good. But the star of the show was an avocado and crab salad with spicy mayonnaise and caviar. It’s been a couple of days now, and I and my girlfriend keep talking about it! Can’t wait to go back. To be honest though, I think I will stick with NZ & Aussie beef if I’m going to be going to a steakhouse here in Thailand. Even this Thai “Wagyu” was a bit tough. Great flavor though.Image

Did they offer NZ & Aus steaks?

It's next to the re-opened second branch of Be Well Medical Centre.

The deli counter is much reduced there, and no steaks for off-sales, so maybe not for eating in either.

Well, that didn’t last long. Jalapeños is closing, per their post on FB this morning. Tomorrow is their last day in business. It’s a shame, because they had pretty damn good Mexican food. Owner cites lack of staff and inability to provide quality food that is expected, or something along those lines. Anyways…last chance to try them.

after Corona times, many restaurant operators are finding it difficult to make up for the losses from previous years,
It Looks Like some people are trying shrinkflation, i.e. less food for the money - do guests like that in the long term?

I've noticed that a lot, your average 'pad krapao moo' is now 90% rice. I'd rather they put the price up a bit (more) and give you a proper serving.

ALBERTOS

Italian fine dining(my absolute favourite cuisine)

Soi Naebkehardt /soi 53

Would be similar to Trattoria by Andreas

I've read very good reviews of the place. Im not a huge fan of Italian food, but I recall there were a few things on the menu that really appealed to me.

There's also Casa di Laciana al mare, which is on the seafront, off of soi 35. Just follow the road round until you are heading to Queens Park and as you see the sentry post in front of you, you will also see the restaurant. I'd like to try that as well, Italian, euro and Thai, as far as I can see.

Tried it a couple weeks after opening so things may have changed. Nice patio on the water and food was very good similar to their place on soi 3. Menu seemed smaller but still quite a few options.

For anyone else out in the Hin Lek Fai area, it looks like we're going to get a small food court.
This is at the corner of Soi Mon Mai and the 3218 in the roofed area behind the Family Mart/Tops supermarket.
It's not open yet but looks like it could be soon.

Sorry only just saw this, I don't read this thread often.

I reviewed it here 1st Nov. last year. Search 'Alberto' and you'll find it and the subsequent discussion.
