CLUB NOTICE

Some great news. Everybody is testing negative for Covid, so we have the green light to re-open again on Monday 7th Feb.

[Wado-Karate]

Last Sunday, as part of it's 10th Anniversary celebration, the karate club held it's 5,000 Punch Challenge, which was combined with it's 10th Birthday Party. We also had representatives from the Aikido and Kali groups, who share the dojo, joining in the celebrations.

In total, we had 35 guests at the event, and they all had a great time on a rain sodden day. You need to excuse the cake, which was not cheap. The manufacturer made 2 catastrophic errors and 2 minor errors i.e. it was a very Thai cake It tasted fine though

All participants in the challenge, where ages ranged from 5 years old to almost 70 achieved their pre-set targets.

The club is seeking new recruits. If thinking about it, we have many options to suit all ages and genders. Regular classes are always free for the first lesson, and we won't try to press gang you into returning a 2nd time. Just contact the club for more information.

We held our Annual Kata Competition last Sunday. We have a lot of video footage, so rather than drown people in video, I will publish 1 video per day (I forgot to post yesterday, so there will be 2 today) starting with our 'Novice' section today.
