Hi,
Does anyone know the legal requirements, or restrictions, regarding the above in Thailand ?....
Given the cost of private international schools; and the options available for home schooling on the internet, to various different national standards.
Is this a viable option for a step daughter now 10.5 years old ?....
Hopefully via an Australian home school site; as it is planed to send her to Australia for at least one year of secondary education, then Uni. latter.
So can the Australian Higher School Certificate (ie Uni qual. last exam year 12) be done online at the same time as being done in Australia ?...
I hope someone can be of assistance; not necessarily purely from an Australian point of view, but possibly U.S. or other nations education requirements, and Thai law on this topic.
Cheers Allan

Hello -
I have become somewhat of an expert on homeschooling laws in Thailand, both for Thai nationals and for foreigners. I've been cooperatively homeschooling several children together for the last five years. It's too much to write here on this forum, but I'm happy to meet with you to answer any questions you may have.

If you are an Australian citizen we have a very inexpensive and effective distance ed system, I teach my son, he is seven. I can totally recommend it especially due to the very expensive school fees here.
