Best Hospital for a broken arm?

Post by MrPlum »

I have a 'farang' lady friend who was mugged today and fractured her elbow when she hit the pavement. That story's for another thread. She went to St. Paulo hospital and they put a semi-permanent cast on her arm. Both of us feel the cast could be better and wish to find the most appropriate hospital to get it looked at.

Does she go private? government? in Hua Hin? Petchaburi? or travel down to Bangkok? She has insurance and cost isn't an issue. The best treatment is.

We are going to get it looked at tomorrow morning, so early advice is welcomed.

The fact she has insurance best bet is to take a trip to BKK - Bumrumgrad hospital.

Never been Bumrumgrad but everyone seems to rate it.

Alternative top quality hospital at similar prices is Samitivej, Soi 49 Sukhumvit, Bangkok. http://www.samitivej.co.th/index_en.aspx

Personally wouldn't trust Hua Hin or Petchaburi hopsitals.

Best wishes to her.

As they are insured ,go to the best available, that simple .

Circumstances of injury do not sound good physically or mentally .Hope it is not too bad .

Wouldn't argue with any of the above.

However - if in pain, and you do not want to travel very far - why not go to the Thanarat Army Hospital in Pranburi - I've heard many glowing reports re the treatment of broken bones there :thumb:

Probably to late but I would recomend Petcharat hospital, that is the private hospital at the cross roads not the private one back towards HH.

I have been there several times and the service and great. If there are any problems with English ask for Dr Ann she has worked in th US and speaks perfect English

I echo Robbies comments

Good treatment. good service, cheaper than BK

Been treated there several times and they have most of the equipment that BK has
