Thankfully, I have a social life back again! I've worked throughout this lockdown but working all day and sitting in a studio apartment watching Netflix every evening has been pretty crap by any definition.
Now, bars here have started selling "takeaway" beer that you drink outside and if that's not your thing, drinking in the park has become a big event, I'm in one now with several hundred other like minded people.
This has been going on for a week now and it seems to have had no effect on the infection ratio, so it makes you wonder if these strict lockdowns actually achieved anything. From everything I've read, it's highly unlikely that you catch an infectious disease in the open air, so forcing people to stay indoors seems to me to be a bit counterproductive.

o forcing people to stay indoors seems to me to be a bit counterproductive.

I think that the "authorities" don't really know what to do so they impose as strict a regime as they think people will endure, and hope for the best.

In the US, most states that have re-opened have experienced a spike in Covid cases. So maybe, avoiding other humans is a good thing. I've been avoiding them for years and it's worked out well.

Please evidence that claim.

Nice when the Government is paying 80% of your salary to sit a home. Might as well pop down to the beach for the day.
