Airport VIP Bus to and from Hua Hin
Re: Airport VIP Bus to and from Hua Hin
took the bus 18,00 from hua hin and it was as a nice tour, the only thing im wonder is how they can make it in 3 hours in the day time when theres much more trafic, as it took 3 hours and 10 min.
Re: Airport VIP Bus to and from Hua Hin
Bit of a PITA for me as there is nothing going to the airport between 9am and 1pm.
The 9am bus means I'd have to sit in the airport for 5 hours or more and the 1pm is too risky for making a 6pm flight.

In my experience it depends on the airline but 2 hours before flight is usually ample with Thai Airways and 3 hours should be ok for the bus. You should be at the airport well before the evening rush hour chaos. If you are alone then generally no issue but if you have a family with you then it could be more difficult and I would also find a different means to get there earlierjohnnyk wrote:Bit of a PITA for me as there is nothing going to the airport between 9am and 1pm.

Re: Airport VIP Bus to and from Hua Hin
Can you say where this bus stops in Hua Hin. I've looked at their map but I'm still a little confused.
Can you be dropped off at the clock tower?
Or does the bus stop before that?
I know where the mini-vans leave from - is the bus stop near that.
Thanks.

Past Market Village, past Bankok Hospital and on the same side , but before you get to Intercontinental Hotelthehamok wrote:Can you say where this bus stops in Hua Hin. I've looked at their map but I'm still a little confused.

Thanks.
That seems to be very far away from the centre of Hua Hin. You'd need a taxi to get back into town.

Agreed though I have heard its because there is no convenient place to pull over on Phetchkasem heading north unlike the clock tower area southbound.thehamok wrote:Thanks.

Re: Airport VIP Bus to and from Hua Hin
After using this service (both ways) I vowed never to use a mini van again if I can help it.
No stops, very comfy seats, no music/tv on, good a/c, only 1 other passenger on the way to BKK, can get up and walk around, free water, toilet's great but requires a good aim. Didn't take longer than 3 hours in either direction and on the way to BKK I left at 13.00 on a Saturday. At the airport can jump straight on the BTS to Ramkamhaeng or Phaya Thai, about 45 Baht and 40 minutes or so.
They plan to increase the number of journeys from 10 to 15-16 a day at the end of February, I have heard from a reliable source.

Got to stay away from those minibuses. Took it one time - no leg space and really scary! Need to support this new airport bus service because if they keep running empty then it will be scrapped. PBbeacher is right, it is a great way to get to BKK by using the BTS link, in comfort and safety. Everyone needs to tell everyone about this new service.
Re: Airport VIP Bus to and from Hua Hin
I used this bus in December and they had no objection to letting me get off at the clock tower but I only had a small bag so I was able to get off with minimal disruption. Can you be dropped off at the clock tower?

A week ago I took the bus any they wouldn't let people off until the station. They will make a stop in Cha Am for people to get off there when arranged before hand. It might be up to the particular driver but on this trip the driver said no.
