Robby, I think you have taken BB's statement the wrong way. Nobody said liar.

Someone whoa had undergone the op and suffered some pain might easily con a mate into thinking it is painless. Just a bit of fun as BB indicates.

There is a point to be made about pain though. It does not affect everybody in the same way for many different reasons.

I suffered no pain at all that I can remember but I had the op under general and when I woke up the pain caused by the main operation to my thigh was causing some pain which seemed to move the focus of pain completely.

Whatever, the overall effect was that neither were particularly painful and I was walking again the next day with hardly any post op pain anywhere. I am sure that under normal circumstances I would have suffered just the same as anything else.

To put things in perspective the main operation involved the removal of one metre of a leg vein.

Anyway the ends justify the means. A mere snip or just the tip of the iceberg.

This should probably be in " did you know", but as we have this topic open it may be of interest here. And I would just like to add that, although I have had no personal experience of this operation, the very thought of it makes me cringe!

BANGKOK, Thailand - From 15-cent train rides to excellent, one-dollar meals, Thailand's tropical capital is teeming with budget options for the penny-pinching traveler. Where else in the world can you get a free vasectomy?
............................. . . . . . . . . . .

As for those free vasectomies? The Population and Community Development Association offers them to any man, any nationality, who has fathered two children already. How's that for a good deal?
May you be in heaven half an hour before the devil know`s you`re dead!

I doubt if the author has had any experience either.

Robby,

I use Emoticons in jest. However, if you were genuinely upset, then please accept my sincere apologies. I understand that some people are easily offended.

It should be re-stated that my experience was very painful (not in the nether regions) to the extent I thought I was having a heart attack. I also stated that the doctor considered my operation a bigger than normal job.

Finally, of those who told me that it wouldn't hurt, they all changed their story afterwards.

I had the op under a general 28 years ago, no problems and back at work the next day, a friend had his under a local and said he only felt a little prick.

Don't get me wrong, the only post operation pain was when my wife accidentally put her shoulder into my groin. That would have probably hurt anyway.

My stories of pain relate to the actual operation.
