Lewis Hamilton

Post by Stu-Pot »

A young gifted driver no doubt, but don't you think it's a bit early to describe him as "potenially the best ever" ?? as mentioned in some press

I think he has been very fortunate to be given the best car on teh gird in his first year. Most rookies start off driving the overhauled Lada stationwagon down the back!!!

Podium finishes every race so far, potentially I agree that he could be the best ever, he shows the right qualities for one so young.

As the song says "young giffted and black"

He is great news for F1 revenue.

yes randy, he didnt say that after monaco did he? great race though, always enjoy it more when there a few bangs & scrapes along the way too!
is lewis that good? the best car & team at the moment gives him the current leadership. not sure if he would be a regular on the podium if he was driving for one of the lesser teams.

So he's potentially the best of those that get to drive the best cars? :? Guess its a small pool then and one of the reasons the sport(?) bores the hell out of me now.

I think he is definitely extremely talented. placed in all his races and leading the championship at only 22. went to my first Grand prix this year in Malaysia and had seats right opposite his pit stops, definitely routing for him :) He is definitely an inspiration for young drivers with a dream. This is a recent quote

"I am half-Grenadian half-British, I was born and raised in England. Since the age of eight, I have had my mind set on my dream. I believe in hard work and perseverance. I think positive thinking in life is essential to achieving your goals. I am very much a family person, I have got a big family, and they mean the world to me. I live everyday as it comes and always keep an open mind. Spending time with my people is something I love doing, I feel I am blessed in this life. I am a believer in God and that good things come to those who wait. The reason for me being where I am today is that I had a fantastic team behind me, my family & my supporters! Without them, I would not be here. I like to think I am a down to earth person and honest but I will let u be the judge of that. One thing important thing I want to say is, to never to give up in whatever u do, yes u will fail at times but never give up because eventually u will succeed. I have never given up in all my life and I never will, even when I am old and wrinkly I will still be living by that same rule. I will never quit nor give up!"

As an ardent F-1 follower, I'm one of the growing number of Hamilton fans.
The guy is just extraordinary

Had to smile when I got this one this morning

30 years ago - 20 white men chasing a black man = Klu Klux Klan

Today the same scenario = Formula One

Times have changed eh?

They have had the same joke in golf for a few years now, just substitute "Tiger Woods" for "Formula One"

As an already admitted F-1 fan, I'm waiting with anticipation for the last three races of this season.

Now that Maclaren have been relieved of their constructors points it leaves the relishing thought that both Hamilton and Alonso will be at it hammer & tongs from now on.

After all - if they crash out - they don't have any points to loose for Maclaren
Also - clearly there will be no team orders - public or otherwise.

Just two great drivers in two great cars with a boring Fin waiting in the wings in his Ferarri waiting to pick them both off.

This has the potential to be a great finale to very different F-1 season.

Bring it on.

He's coming to Hua Hin before the Chinese Grand Prix, the same reason Joe Cole did a while back.
Something to do with promoting property somewhere, they get given a free house or something.

Look out for him down Soi Bintabaht :D
