Do you ever feel like you're the only one interested in this topic?

Maybe there's not many of us but I am still interested, even though I left Thailand 16 years ago.

Yes, quite a lot, but it was requested, so I try to populate it. I follow the results anyway, so no hardship.

However, I do get the occasional question, so I know somebody shows an interest.

I actually find it amazing that we have so many football supporters on this forum, but all of the armchair variety. To me, the best part of watching football is the live atmosphere. The atmosphere at Thai football is quite carnival, and surpasses most English football. OK, the skill levels aren't as high, but its still a really good day out. Even your local team, Hua Hin City can provide a lot of fun. As a football supporter you should at least give it a try. If you don't like it, nothing lost. You can watch a local match for just 50฿.

Ratchaburi didn't do so well this week, but they were up against the league leaders. It seems that Buriram are the perpetual league leaders year in and year out.

Yes, Ratchaburi were without their suspended centre-forward, and Buriram soon put 2 more of their forwards into hospital, literally. They tried to get a 3rd, but failed - I hope Ratchaburi were insured . Fairplay, Ratchaburi got their own back, and things were pretty even on the violence front by the end.

That aside, any team that can put 4 past Ratchaburi's defence (IMHO the best in Thailand) have to be brilliant. They will be deserving champions again this year. Absolutely no complaints with the score - fantastic game of football, and a brilliant atmosphere.

Cup 1/4 finals on Wednesday, and then a swift day trip to Chiang Rai on Sunday.
