Yes, I agree it's dangerous but my point was that these drivers are probably doing it out of need and not because they decided to leave the Porsche at home that day and take the truck for a leisurely drive in the fast lane.
I can also imagine that a Thai commercial truck drivers life is pretty bad and they probably have very little sympathy for the likes of Bangkokians in expensive cars going on jaunts to the seaside, Farangs going to golf or anyone else who is not on the road to make a living.

I think you’re giving the truck drivers too much credit - as has been posted by countless numbers of us, many are oblivious to any form of sensible driving- they’ve never been taught “road manners”, don’t appreciate what driving safely entails, it’s simply getting from A to B - possibly as quickly as possible, but definitely without due care and consideration for others!! I am of course referring to the majority of Thai drivers, but there are some good ones out there, regrettably just not enough of them!! Rant over.
A new one, but it has been bothering me for years. Lazy truck drivers, stopping to use service stations. Rather than pull into a service station, which would actually involve steering the vehicle, many just stop on the hard shoulder, and walk into the service station.
Because there are very few slip roads in Thailand, especially at service stations, this means vehicles leaving the service station have to pull on to the nearside carriageway blind as all visibility has been blocked by parked lorries. Normally, I would use the hard shoulder as my slip road, but even that is not possible because there is often a huge lorry blocking the way.
This is becoming particularly hazardous on the new 120KPH stretches of roads, where there are often buses and trucks chugging along in the 100 to 120KPH lane, so the inside and middle lanes are being used for the faster speeds.

At the moment I have a loathing for Farangs riding big cc scooters (Forzas etc.)
They really DO think they are somewhat special..EVERY time one comes up behind me & passes me on my PCX the cnuts seem to shave by me, even when they,ve lots of road-width left to pass by 'normally'...OR they are forcing their way in betwwen me & the vehicle in front!
OK, some Thai boys will just have to occupy that space & carve you up..but it is ALWAYS farang t****rs riding like t**ts, and hardly ever Thais who do this on larger scooters...WHY..??
