I made my annual visit to Market Village and Bluport to view this year's selection of seasonal lights. IMHO both areas have seriously downgraded this year. The only original feature this year was when it started snowing at Bluport. Both kids and Mrs BB loved the snow storm in the tropics.
I've not been yet. Tell me, did you see any acknowledgement of Santa. He certainly wasn't featured last year. In fact I remember telling the kids "First one to find Santa gets 100 baht." My money was safe.
I notice from your pics that there doesn't seem to be any mention of Christmas, just a 'Happy New Year'. They'll probably claim that it's there to celebrate New Year and nothing to do with Christmas!!
Fair play. This is a Buddhist country and They have no obligation to recognise Christmas.
Due to work, I haven't made it to Hua Hin for Christmas for a few years but what I remember was Market Village used to have this horrendous piped music that was basically five year olds singing carols. It was nasty, I don't understand how the staff could put up with it all day.
