I would say that it is the rest of Hua Hin that is the eyesore, especially when compared to other international tourist destinations. Srassing Road is a disgrace. The Grande is even worse, and Bluport is build right alongside an out-of-control landfill. Maybe if you are charging around in an Fortuna with tinted windows and air con, you would probably have no idea.

Almost none of the old town has been preserved or developed. Try comparing Hua Hin to the tourist town of places like Dali or Lijiang. Even the old town in Chiang Mai is better than the toxic traffic snarl-ups of downtown Hua Hin.

There are some super flashy hotels, but no consistency. One minute you have a five star resort. The next is waste ground. That is not a good look for a luxury resort.
OK you're determined to defend a 25 odd storey brown featureless condo block as a veritable oasis of calm and natural beauty so maybe lets park that one. No idea where Srassing Road is (and nor does Google), as for the out of control landfill? weird.

I don't have a Fortuna but do they all 'charge around' then? I've seen some pretty considerate drivers. Though I think I'm seeing the problem here.

As for 'luxury resort' - who's claiming that? whilst better than most towns for foreigner friendly. it's a million miles from a 'luxury resort'!

How's that beach looking in Chiang Mai?

So I popped in to find nearly all worth having are sold already! (Fully expected that probably a BKK buyer would have snapped them up as is usually the case) Though there is a 3 bedroom condo on the top for 10 million available!

The ones worth having (1 bedroom plus imo) they have just one left if you're quick though not on a high floor, of the 2 bedrooms they have just 2 left and of the higher floors they have very limited stock left. Most of the ones left appear to be lower floored studios. Someone's clearly judged this very nicely.

Looking at the prices (look reasonable to me), studios and lower floor 1 beds are less than 2 mil, (though they've gone up about 20% from the release prices already) and addressing the OP directly, I can't help thinking 525 condos at these prices will be a blow to local prices so if you have a condo in the near vicinity you're thinking of selling, I wouldn't wait.

Thank you for the detailed reply.

This was quite unexpected after Benroon's pointless rant, but it is good to get a reply from someone who makes an effort to appreciate the subject.

errrrr a) the 'rant' was in response to your defence of a monstrosity for the sake of it and b) if you look really carefully you will see the person who 'appreciates the subject' is the very same person - Benroon!

Let me know if I can be of any further assistance
