I also saw the lesser spotted Orange Songthaew on soi 57 tonight, dropping off a lady at the massage shops(not that I was in one, honest Guv!)

So I think my Canadian mate is right in that they will go 'off piste' for a contribution!

There are vans that run every 10-20 minutes. Just have to flag them down. For example, wait at the bottom of the bridge at market village, it is 30 Baht to the Tesco in Pranburi. Sometimes there is a lady selling tickets, otherwise just ask and hope in the van. Coming back just wait across from Tesco at the stand next to the police station. vans will stop and then just ask if they are going to Hua Hin.

Post by joelle »

From June 28, Hua Hin’s famous 10 Baht buses will cost 15 baht due to the rising price of gasoline.

Many people with spending power who stay in the pool villa developpments in Hin Lek Fai area spend their entier holidays in their resort due to the overcharging prices of some taxi services. It's about time the Baht buses made routes that cover Hin Lek Fai area with stops near the popular developmments and that transport people downtown in Market Village area or Airport area. It will boost the local economy and avoid wealthy visitors to just stay in their area. It will also benefit locals.

IF they are so wealthy it shouldn't bother them!
If they stay in the pool villas during their stay it's probably because they wish to do so.
Having said that they can always use Grab taxis which offers good service at acceptable prices.
