Selling a car (as a farang)

Post by Big Boy »

I am asking for a friend,

Can somebody please advise the procedure, and documents required to sell a used car in Thailand.

I know there are bits and pieces all over this Forum, but I'm just looking for a simple idiots guide. The seller is Farang.

This seems to be accurate (for buying and selling): viewtopic.php?f=44&t=41148

Normally I would, but I'm away for a couple of days shortly. If I don't have an answer by the time I get back, I will have a look.

A couple of years ago I sold my car to a Thai lady in my village. All I had to do was get the proof of address from imm. and sign the transfer documents that the new buyer had got from DLT. Simple and hassle free.

I recently needed proof of residency from immigration for buying and selling a car. Can't help much more as my other half handled the selling bit.
