Best massage in Hua Hin?
Re: Visitor for 1 week
Not really amazing and it does depend what kind of 'massage' you're looking for!
Re: Best massage in Hua Hin?
I don't really think the quality is amazing. Most of the shops provide a really average service.

Motyduke,
Where would you say the massage shops offer amazing, and above average service?

Re: Best massage in Hua Hin?
I guess he means there’s a lot of choice, as in there are more massage places than any other type of establishment in HH - how many are any good is another thing and (unfortunately) I can’t offer any advice!!
Re: Best massage in Hua Hin?
Had two massages during my 12 years in Thailand. Both in Hua Hin. The first, I may have well paid any bugger off the street to rub lotion on me. The second, was straight after the first as I was disappointed. Better but nothing great.
Sorry, can't answer your question as to the best just adding my experience.

I had a good oil massage from Narul Nashita massage on Soi Dechanuchit on a recent trip to Hua Hin. This was an above board massage with no extras offered.

Re: Best massage in Hua Hin?
I think what a good massage to me may not be for you. I've gotten a lot of massages over the years in Thailand, the US and various other places. I go to chill massage here in Hua Hin off soi 6 and am very satisfied with it. 350/hour for a oil massage (she doesn't offer extras). She does a hard massage (my choice she will do less too) and goes straight for 2 hours.
The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.

How to find an expert review with so many massage places in HH?
I’ve been fortunate in that I’ve seen some top bodywork gurus while in California. There were even a few students that were already magical in their ability to connect with clients. No need to tell these practitioners how much pressure or what to work on, they find the tightness and help you release it (and probably some emotions connected to it).
Thinking about this some, I think I can exclude the places with women lounging out front. Someone good is going to be busy. I’d hope they would have a quiet, private setting that lets you relax (forget beds crammed into tight rooms divided by curtains).
This leads my thinking to the more expensive places. You dont want a “resort” massage where the practitioner does the same routine over and over on autopilot. From my experiences in different countries, this is a good bet though. Just need to try a few practitioners to find the one that’s great.
This seems quite do able here as the cost is 1/3 to 1/5 of North America.
Also wondering if anyone can recommend a practitioner that operates on their own?

Narul Nashita massage is exactly what I was also going to suggest. Most of the women are good-great, still a tiny element of hit and miss as usual. Purely based on google reviews it seems there may be a couple of good ones around the Cicada market area but maybe others can confirm, I've never tried any around there.

price for 1 hour oil-massage is still 300 baht (in 2024) - some shops around clock tower
20 years before in Phuket/Patong i paid the same 200-300 baht 1 hour,
how does it work?
