Yes, read some of the comments at the bottom of the link page. Some are spot on, but many don't know shite about the mentality of this place and people.
The actual live CCTV video was on Channel 3 news at 0530 this morning, so it may be on again if interested. Only shows his attack on the woman though, right out in the open in the shopping mall. The little 8 year old I didn't see in the video. At least she has a 20 year old sibling.
Edit: Bangkok Post article comments are usually worse than Facebook comments. Social media idiots everywhere.

Same thing in Tokyo. Yesterday a teenage girl stabbed 3 people. She said she was doing well in school and had no problems. She wanted to kill her mother and was practicing.
Good thing that she had no problems.
