Can a 30 day Tourist Visa Waiver be extended?

Post by Gus »

As above.
I was thinking of coming over for about 6 weeks and I don't fancy going through the process of getting a 60 day Visa beforehand , can you get a 30 day visa waiver extended by 14 days whilst in Thailand?
TIA

I've done it before, it takes a visit to immigration and costs 1900bt, a passport photo and some copies of your passport.
At the old immigration office, there was a lady outside who would prepare everything for a small fee but I haven't tried it at the new one.

It can be done in the Basement of Bluport Shopping Mall, so no need to go to the Immigration Office if you are staying in town.
