Enhancing Badge (Image) Resolution
I have a club badge, but electronically it is quite small at 65.1KB.
It is often very restrictive when I am trying to get various products made, and manufacturers repeatedly ask if I have a larger image, which I don't.
Question 1, is there any easy way I can create a much larger version myself without purchasing expensive software for what would be a one-off job?
Question 2, assuming the answer to question 1 is no, can somebody please suggest where I can get the image significantly enlarged to be able to store it on my computer, so the next time I'm asked, I will have it ready for them.

Re: Enhancing Badge Resolution
There's a lot of options on a Google search. I tried 3 services and all of them did not give a clear image of the lettering at double size.
You can see the choices by searching "enlarge jpg"

Re: Enhancing Badge Resolution
I think I must have tried most of them, but with very poor results. I'm assuming I will need to get it professionally enlarged, which is the reason for my question 2.

Re: Enhancing Badge Resolution
Is this the original file? With 'jpg' in the file name, and having .png extension it migh be converted at least once.
Logos etc are normally created using some vector format that are easy to enlarge. In contrast, jpg, gif, png and bmp are raster types that will be pixilated when enlarged. The best would be if you can find or get the presumably vector format original.
Else, there are various softwares that try to fill in the blank pixels for enlarged raster pictures with content trying try to 'match' the sorrounding pixels. They use various algorithms but the tasks is difficult. So,
Answer 1: No, you should not buy any software for a single one-off trial There's no easy way if you only have a raster picture.
Answer 2: Maybe right here. Being quasi locked up and not much to do, I'll try some applications tomorrow.

Re: Enhancing Badge Resolution
It is the best we've been able to get off manufacturers i.e. they would rather create the wheel (charging us) every time. We know they must have better because of the quality products they produce using the badge,
If you produce a high quality badge for us, it would be fantastic.

Right, I tried quite a few recommended applications with various settings to enlarge your file. Compare them at the same display size. Sending you the download link in PM.

Thank you very much laser, that is excellent. Much better. Great definition.
Give me a shout next time you're in town (assuming if you are in lockdown, you aren't here now). I owe you a beer or 2.

In the meantime found yet another application that needed some persuation to save the results. See another PM with the d'/l link.
