Reading lots of stuff recently across various news sources.
Seems they had a drop of £140+ million on people paying licence fees in a year. Scrapping the free for over 75s thing didn't go down well.
The most recent thing I saw was a 'defund the bbc' group. Ffs haven't we had enough of, 'defund this, defund that' by now. The group has so far raised £60,000 towards its cause.
I believe there are 2 main things driving this. Firstly, the BBC are allegedly being less than impartial of recent (can't comment on this, don't watch it enough). Secondly, the high salaries of some at the BBC have irked many people.
Personally, I don't pay the license fee. Not. A. Chance! Not paying 25 quid (?) a month for it. Would maybe pay £5-6 a month if I was forced to, as that would represent value for money in comparison to other media services.
Is the BBC on it's way out?
The End of the BBC?
The End of the BBC?
I don't trust children. They're here to replace us.
