There was, to me at least, a very interesting report in the Bangkok Post today and whilst given early prominence, has subsequently proved hard to find.
It's based on a survey by a Thai University of 200 foreign and Thai investers from June 1 to July 15 and as ever, the BP and those quoted, tried to put a nonsensical positive spin on it. But the reality of the results, is as stated - quite sobering.
'The poll found that Thailand is no longer in a position to compete with neighbouring countries and Asean peers when considering wage costs and international trade preferences'.

To think 312 baht a day is considered a high labor cost. What do they think that the cost of living here amounts to for a laborer? One day the world is going to explode and the poor will kill the rich.
