Marriage Certificate Validation by Thai Consulate
Marriage Certificate Validation by Thai Consulate
My wife and I are both UK citizens. We have just renewed our Retirement Visas. Immigration in Thayan have said for next year we need our UK Marriage Certificate validated by the Thai Consulate in Bangkok. 2 years ago we obtained the Apostille Seal from the UK attached to our Marriage Certificate which Immigration had also requested we do. Why you need validity in Thailand for a UK document already certified is already odd but yes we are dealing with Immigration! Has any UK expat experienced this request and if so what do they actually want and would it be possible to obtain via the post instead of travelling to Bangkok? Any info would be gratefully received.

I think you mean “marriage certificate to certify by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kingdom of Thailand”. MFA! They did in the case non-o, marriage visa, but for retirement visa I don’t see any relate to use marriage certificate!

You may have divorced since the original certification.
You can use a local agent who will handle the MFA stamp.
If wife is piggy backing off husband retirement extension or visa versa.
